Mementos from a memorable visit to Tuscany
Local Tuscan biscuit cookies called ricciarelli, native to Siena. A must to try based on a friend's recommendation.
Had I but known to buy multiple boxes of the first ones I tried from San Gimignano that were the chocolate versions of this almond melt-in-your-mouth heaven, I would order those as gifts to share in a second. |
We saw these famous historical figures depicted as gatti in Greve in Chianti. |
For my dear college pals, ESandra & Billy's 10-year anniversary,
I sent them this hand painted ceramic spoon rest made by a lovely lady in Castellina in Chianti.
The red poppy design and this little tin of cinnamon candies with a pin-up girl reminded me of ESandra. Plus, this awesome letterpress card is definitely the dynamic duo and their spunky energy. |
An olive oil dispenser and monkey wine bottle stopper. |
As a thank you to our hosts/family, hehe, we sent them
local olives and an olive dish made with a compartment for the pits. |
A townhouse warming gift of a feng shui mirror and
juniper incense for good energy, a yummy red velvet scented candle and a mini bowl dish. |
